Counselling for Women in BC and Beyond
My approach is relational, person-centered, and trauma-aware.
I believe real change happens inside a relationship where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted as you are rather than analyzed or rushed.
Every path looks a little different. Often we begin with the challenges that brought you in, using practical tools drawn from approaches like CBT and DBT so you have something to hold onto right away. As trust builds, our work tends to deepen into attachment patterns, nervous system responses, and the ways your history still shapes your present.
Along the way I draw on somatic awareness and parts work to help you build steadier emotional regulation, a stronger sense of self, and deeper self-trust.

Where we might focus
Anxiety, stress & self-doubt
If you feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, worry, perfectionism, or the kind of exhaustion that doesn't lift with rest, we'll look at what's underneath it. Together we explore the patterns feeding the stress while building self-awareness, confidence, and trust in yourself.
Relationships & attachment patterns
The way we learned to connect early on tends to echo through everything after. We'll explore how past experiences shape your current relationships, your boundaries, and your sense of self, and work toward healthier connection, clearer communication, and a steadier relationship with you.
Grief, loss & life transitions
Whether you're grieving a person, a relationship, a chapter, or a version of your life you didn't get to keep, this is a space to slow down and process it. We'll make room for what you're carrying and help you reconnect with what matters most.
We might draw on:
Relational and attachment-based therapy · Person-centred work · Somatic and nervous system awareness · CBT and DBT tools · Parts work · Mindfulness
Every client is different, so the work is never one-size-fits-all. Depending on what you need, our sessions may weave together
You don't need to know what any of that means walking in. We'll find the right blend together.
Counselling or coaching?
I offer both, though not at the same time.
Counselling tends to explore how your past shapes your present - your thoughts, feelings, and patterns. Coaching is more forward-focused, helping you set goals and take concrete steps toward the life you want.
If you're not sure which fits where you are right now, that's a perfect thing to bring to a discovery call. And if your needs shift over time, we can talk about moving from one to the other.
If you'd like a little more information on the differences between counselling and coaching, I wrote a blog post about it here.
