"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."

- Carl Rogers

Hi, I'm Serena,
a Registered Counsellor for women.

I'm a Registered Counsellor and Life Coach - but first and foremost, a dog mom, a partner, a sister, a friend, and a lot of other things outside of being a therapist.

I'm also someone who knows what it feels like to move through life carrying a lot: responsibility, relationships, change, grief, and the quiet pressure to keep going even when it's become too much.

I value slow mornings, meaningful connection, and the steadiness that comes from stepping out of survival mode and back into yourself.

Why this work?

At the heart of both my personal and professional life is a simple belief: we aren't meant to do life disconnected from ourselves or from each other. We're wired for connection, and our capacity to understand our inner world grows through self-awareness, empathy, compassion, and, ultimately, love.

Like many therapists, my passion for this work came from my own path through it.

After a significant loss, alongside other challenges, I found myself living with anxiety, overwhelm, and a deep sense of disconnection from myself. Through my own therapy and a real commitment to myself, I came to see that so many of the patterns I struggled with were rooted in unresolved experiences and anxious-attachment patterns, and that the ways of coping that once helped me survive weren't serving me anymore.

As I came to understand myself more, something shifted. I stopped simply managing the anxiety and started building something underneath it: self-trust, and a sense of safety that came from the inside.

Today, I get to support women navigating anxiety, attachment patterns, trauma responses, grief, overwhelm, or uncertainty about themselves and their lives.

Together, we explore what's happening beneath the surface in a warm, relational, trauma-informed space where you can slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that got pushed aside in order to cope, survive, or take care of everyone but you.

What I'm here to do

My mission is to help women move from survival mode toward self-trust and self-understanding, and to reconnect with themselves, make sense of the impact of their experiences, and grow real self-compassion and emotional wellbeing.

I believe your responses to life's challenges make sense, and healing begins the moment you start to understand them -  through connection, compassion, and empathy.
